Taking all of this into account, the fact that modders like Sir_Bumfrey_Diggles are still tinkering with New Vegas assets speaks to how fervent the adoration is for the game from Obsidian Entertainment. As it so happens, there are a plethora of other mods for the Obsidian Entertainment-developed title that make the game feel brand new, with The Frontier mod being one that acts as an impressive, albeit unofficial expansion of sorts.
Naturally, when one bears in mind the popularity of New Vegas, it should come as no surprise that Sir_Bumfrey_Diggles' is far from the only modder looking to breathe new life into the 2010 release. That said, though, Sir_Bumfrey_Diggles has admitted that bringing the New Vegas quests into Fallout 4 with the mod is not totally off the table, but such a feat could only be done with some of the base quests. Considering the fact that this is a work in progress, the early stages of what has been modded into the game looks quite spectacular, even though the draw distance is short and the level of detail is practically non-existent.Īlthough the New Vegas into Fallout 4 mod is still early in development, the project's team has the loftier goal to not only recreate the buildings and world, but also to use that as a foundation to write new quests. With this being the case, one modder by the name of Sir_Bumfrey_Diggles has decided to take the entire map for New Vegas and update it in a major way by modding it into Fallout 4, Bethesda's most recent entry in the franchise.Īs seen below in the video from the F4NV Project's YouTube page, Sir_Bumfrey_Diggles and several of his cohorts have already managed to recreate some parts of New Vegas in Fallout 4, as they have been able to to bring Goodsprings and Primm to the game so far.
As many fans of Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG franchise will often attest, the Obsidian Entertainment-developed Fallout: New Vegas is far and away the best game in the series thanks to its solid combat and gear system, varied quests, and in-depth social interactions with a colorful cast of non-playable characters.
